What Contractor Covers

A contractor is a service provider that plans, prepares, repairs, and completes coordinated property work.

  • A painting contractor differs from a handyman because the service connects surface repair, preparation, coating, protection, and final review.
  • This service covers homes and commercial properties across the surrounding area, with work shaped by each property's surfaces and use.

About

What coordinated property work includes

This service connects repair, preparation, painting, cabinet work, and cleanup under one project plan. It fits homeowners who need several related tasks addressed, along with commercial clients who need finish work across occupied or active spaces. The work starts with an in-home meeting and a review of your goals. We identify surfaces that need cleaning, sanding, priming, paint removal, or repair before we set the work scope. A written, itemized estimate shows the planned work before it begins. Cost depends on surface condition, repair needs, coating type, access, and the number of areas involved. Requesting an estimate gives us the details needed to describe your project accurately.

Process

How the project moves from scope to finish

1

Meet and inspect the property

We meet in the home or commercial space, discuss your goals, and inspect the surfaces, repairs, access, and areas involved.

2

Write the itemized work scope

We provide a written, itemized scope and estimate before work begins, so the planned repairs, preparation, and finishes are clear.

3

Protect surrounding areas

We cover furnishings, floors, fixtures, and related work areas before cleaning, sanding, repair, or coating starts.

4

Prepare and complete the surfaces

We clean, repair, sand, prime, remove old finishes, and apply the selected paint or coating as the scope requires.

5

Walk through and close the project

A lead paint crew member reviews the finished work with you, then we complete cleanup and address correction items before closing.

What to prepare before the work begins

A few details help us build a useful scope and protect the property during the project.

  • List the rooms, cabinets, exterior areas, or commercial spaces you want reviewed.
  • Note visible cracks, peeling paint, damaged trim, wallpaper, or textured surfaces.
  • Move small items away from walls and identify furniture that needs protection.
  • Share access details for occupied homes, offices, shared areas, or property-management schedules.
  • Bring color ideas and explain where you want paint, stain, or another coating.

These guys did an awesome job! They have a well trained team that works closely together to get the job done on time and on budget. They also did a number of other repairs on the interior and exterior ( removed dry rot, repair drywall, etc.) before they could even start the painting. I would highly recommend them!

We had been putting off painting our house because there is never a great time to do so. After we decided to do it, we got 6 bids, some where very low, with low grade products, other very high with outrageous considerations, Jeff and his team came dead in the middle with amazing notes from the first visit, careful workmanship and with top of the line quality product. Scheduling was a breeze with Lorena make it so easy for us even with a busy schedule during the summer. The best experience we've had, we basically did not notice the team was working. They arrived every day super early, left the area pristine, and delivered a great quality outcome in the entire exterior job. We are super happy with the pain, the look and all the recommendation and fixes the team did. We will definitely work with 365Painting Solutions for all of our future painting needs. Thank you for making this experience simple and painless.

Questions about coordinated painting and repair work

What does a painting contractor include in a written estimate?

A written estimate identifies the planned areas, repairs, preparation, finishes, and cleanup. We provide an itemized scope before work begins, so you can review what the project includes. Surface condition, access, coating choices, cabinet work, and carpentry needs affect the scope. Ask us to review each area during the in-home meeting.

What changes the cost of cabinet painting or exterior work?

Surface condition, repair needs, access, finish removal, and coating choices shape the project cost. Cabinets may need cleaning, sanding, repair, priming, or refacing before application. Exterior areas may need siding or trim repairs. We review those details during the consultation and include the planned work in a written, itemized estimate.

Can you coordinate carpentry repairs with painting?

Yes, our contractor service coordinates carpentry repairs with preparation and painting when the work fits one project scope. Damaged trim, wood surfaces, and related repairs need review before coating. We identify the repair areas during the property meeting, protect surrounding surfaces, and explain how the repair affects the planned finish.

How should I compare estimates from painting contractors?

Compare each estimate by its repair list, preparation steps, finish areas, protection plan, and cleanup terms. A low number can hide missing sanding, priming, or damaged-surface repairs. Our written scope identifies those items before work begins. Ask whether the estimate includes cabinet surfaces, trim, old finish removal, and the final correction review.

Do I need to move furniture before interior painting?

Move small loose items away from the walls, and identify large furnishings that need protection. We protect furnishings, floors, fixtures, and surrounding areas during preparation and application. Access still matters, so tell us about tight rooms, shared spaces, or items that cannot move during the in-home meeting.

What are warning signs that a contractor scope is too vague?

A vague scope often omits surface repairs, preparation, finish areas, protection, or cleanup. You should know which rooms, cabinets, trim, and exterior surfaces the work includes. Our itemized estimate sets out the planned tasks before work begins. That detail helps you compare estimates and spot missing preparation steps.

Who provides these painting and carpentry services?

The exact scope depends on the property and your project goals.

When Customers Call Us About Contractor

1

Several Rooms Need One Plan

A homeowner may need wall painting, trim repair, and cabinet work during the same property update. The main concern is keeping preparation and finish choices consistent across rooms. We review each surface during the in-home meeting, then provide a written scope that separates repairs, protection, coatings, and cleanup before work begins.

2

Commercial Areas Must Stay Organized

A commercial client may need painting and carpentry across spaces with staff, customers, or stored equipment nearby. Access and area protection shape the work plan, even when the finish itself is straightforward. We discuss the affected areas, protect surrounding fixtures, and set out the work in an itemized estimate for review.

3

Old Finish Needs Removal

Paint, wallpaper, popcorn ceilings, or damaged texture can block a new finish from bonding well. The surface needs review before anyone chooses a coating or repair method. We identify the old finish, protect nearby areas, and include removal, surface repair, sanding, and priming in the written scope when those steps fit the property.

Our Other Services

Interior PaintingFresh interior paint can make a dark room feel cleaner and help worn walls match your home’s current style. We prepare drywall, protect flooring, and apply wall and trim coatings for an even finish.
Exterior PaintingPeeling siding, faded trim, and exposed patches can make a home look neglected and leave surfaces vulnerable. We wash, scrape, repair, prime, and paint exterior materials for a durable finish that refreshes curb appeal.
Ignition-Resistant Exterior Coating ApplicationHomes in wildfire-prone settings need exterior surfaces considered as part of broader fire protection planning. We apply ignition-resistant coatings to suitable siding or trim after cleaning and preparation, creating a renewed finish around vulnerable areas.
Commercial Cool-Roof Coating ApplicationA worn commercial roof can reflect heat poorly and need renewed surface protection. We prepare compatible roof areas and apply cool-roof coating, helping create a reflective finish while extending the useful life of the existing roof.
CarpenterDamaged trim, baseboards, or door casings can make a finished room look unfinished. We repair or replace those details, match existing profiles, and prepare the woodwork for a clean paint-ready result.
Deck builderA worn deck can limit outdoor space and create concerns around loose boards or damaged rails. New decking, stair components, and guardrails create a safer surface for hosting, relaxing, and enjoying the yard.
