About

What exterior painting covers from siding to trim

Exterior painting includes more than applying a new color. We review siding, trim, doors, garage doors, and other listed surfaces, then identify repairs that affect the finish. Preparation can include cleaning, scraping loose paint, sanding rough areas, repairing damaged material, and priming when required. We protect furnishings, floors, fixtures, and nearby areas during preparation and application. Peeling paint needs special attention because coating over loose material leaves the failure in place. Our team checks the surface condition first, so the estimate separates repair work from application work and gives you a clear project plan.

The team at 365 did a great job painting our house. They painted the full exterior of our house, including all the trim, front door, and garage doors. Their color matching was spot on, and the front door and porch trim finish is perfectly smooth. They even did a nice job with caulking as well.

These guys did an awesome job! They have a well trained team that works closely together to get the job done on time and on budget. They also did a number of other repairs on the interior and exterior ( removed dry rot, repair drywall, etc.) before they could even start the painting. I would highly recommend them!

We had been putting off painting our house because there is never a great time to do so. After we decided to do it, we got 6 bids, some where very low, with low grade products, other very high with outrageous considerations, Jeff and his team came dead in the middle with amazing notes from the first visit, careful workmanship and with top of the line quality product. Scheduling was a breeze with Lorena make it so easy for us even with a busy schedule during the summer. The best experience we've had, we basically did not notice the team was working. They arrived every day super early, left the area pristine, and delivered a great quality outcome in the entire exterior job. We are super happy with the pain, the look and all the recommendation and fixes the team did. We will definitely work with 365Painting Solutions for all of our future painting needs. Thank you for making this experience simple and painless.

Questions about exterior surfaces, repairs, and estimates

Who provides exterior painting for homes and commercial properties in Redmond?

PainterRedmondwa.com provides exterior painting for homeowners and commercial clients in Redmond. We review the property, discuss the desired finish, and prepare a written scope. The work can include siding, trim, doors, repairs, surface preparation, coating, protection of nearby areas, cleanup, and a final customer walkthrough.

What changes the estimate for painting a house exterior?

Exterior painting estimates change with surface area, material condition, repair needs, access, and the surfaces included. A written estimate should separate preparation from application, so you can see what the project covers. We review siding, trim, doors, and damaged areas before providing a free estimate.

When should I avoid painting the outside of my house?

Exterior painting should wait when the surface needs repair or cannot receive proper preparation. Peeling paint, damp material, failed caulk, and exposed substrate can weaken the finish. We inspect those conditions first and explain the preparation required before coating work begins.

What does a written exterior painting estimate include?

A written estimate identifies the exterior surfaces, preparation, repairs, protection, application, and cleanup included in the work. We provide an itemized scope before work begins. That document also gives you a clear way to discuss excluded surfaces, color plans, and changes before scheduling the project.

How should I compare exterior painting estimates?

Compare exterior painting estimates by checking the surfaces, repairs, preparation, protection, coating work, cleanup, and final review listed in each scope. A lower total can hide missing preparation or excluded repairs. We provide an itemized scope so you can assess the work itself, not just the final figure.

Can exterior painting include carpentry repairs?

Exterior painting can include related carpentry services when damaged material needs attention before coating. We review the affected area and explain the repair work in the written scope. The finish depends on the condition of the siding, trim, doors, or other surface beneath the old paint.

How do I prepare my property before the painting consultation?

Property preparation starts with listing the surfaces you want painted and clearing access near exterior walls. Point out peeling paint, cracked caulk, bare wood, and past repairs during the in-home meeting. We use those details to discuss the project and prepare a written, itemized estimate.

Scenarios

When Customers Call Us About Exterior Painting

1

Peeling Siding And Exposed Wood

Peeling siding or bare wood needs more than a fresh coat. The surface may need cleaning, sanding, repair, and primer before paint can bond. We’ll inspect the affected areas and separate preparation from application in the written scope. That gives you a clear basis for deciding whether the full exterior or selected surfaces need work.

2

Worn Trim Around Doors

Cracked trim and failing caulk can leave joints open around doors and windows. Those small areas can affect the finish and may point to damaged material below. We’ll check the trim, note repair needs, and explain which surfaces belong in the estimate. You can then compare a focused trim project with a broader exterior refresh.

3

Commercial Exterior Refresh

Commercial clients often need a clear scope that separates public areas, doors, trim, and repair work. Access and surrounding surfaces also need protection during preparation and application. We’ll review the property with you, document the planned work, and coordinate the project details around the agreed scope before painting begins.
